Prism Paints Grows To Over 1500 Colors
Conestoga Wood Specialties has long been known for its vast selection of colors. In fact, its first Prism Paint fan deck boasted just shy of 1,100 choices of all kinds – from whites and pastels, to deep tones, to exciting bolds and brights. That was then, this is now.
As Jeff Eichenseer, Conestoga Director of Marketing and Product Development, explains it, “Our Prism Paint partner, Sherwin-Williams, put together our first fan deck, which displayed an impressive 1,000+ color options. Naturally, Sherwin-Williams is constantly creating great new colors and, as they would, they’d assemble smaller, themed fan decks so they could show customers what’s new.“
“Well, we’re excited that all of the colors – existing and the latest – now reside in one enhanced, blockbuster Prism Paints fan deck. Over 1,520 color options, conveniently organized by color type.”
Eichenseer added that “the convenience factor is fantastic. And every one of these 1,500+ color options – along with multiple glaze choices – are available right now through our Prism Paint program.”
Introducing an Extraordinary Glazing Technique
that’s All About the Contrast
When one thinks of glazing cabinetry components, it’s often thought of as the traditional hand wiped process that alters the color of the entire surface. Although this technique creates a beautiful appearance, Conestoga Wood Specialties’ Pinstripe glazing’s beauty takes quite a different tack.
“Pinstripe glazes are used to enhance the contours of doors and accessories,” explains Jeff Eichenseer, Conestoga Director of Marketing and Product Development. He adds, “We apply the glaze only to select profiled areas, leaving the base color alone. This creates quite an intriguing contrast. It’s very striking.”

The Pinstripe Glaze option is available only on Colourtones and Prism Paints in Caramel, Coffee, and Pewter glazes along with the newly released Onyx glaze.
New Strata TSS Program takes color and texture to the “STRATASPHERE”
When Conestoga first introduced its Strata TSS program, its Thermo Structured Surfaces (TSS) in single textured Slab design and five exclusive colors was a hit with customers who were all about modern kitchen design. Since then, Cleaf, our Italian design partner, has taken TSS up more than a few notches for the American market to 26 desirable new colors and some of the most aggressive face textures in the industry. This includes linear grain patterns and textures – as well as registered-embossed textures that match the board’s grain patterns.
Says Jeff Eichenseer, Conestoga Director of Marketing and Product Development, “Our newly expanded Strata TSS Program offers the modern-minded customer color and design options that let their imaginations soar. We’ve enhanced this popular offering for the thoroughly modern homeowner in this trend that shows no sign of slowing down!
In addition to our edgebanded Slab design, we’ve added 3-piece and 5-piece doors and drawer fronts with complementary accessories, including textured sheets of phenolic veneers, cut-to-size 8mm and 19mm board, and 4’ x 8’ sheet stock. So, when it comes to color and texture, the sky’s the limit!”
