Ten years ago, Conestoga Wood introduced its DLV (Decorative Laminate Veneer) door program and its momentum across numerous customer segments has continued to grow and grow. It’s the beauty, durability, convenience, and affordability that make all the difference.

With a short 7-day lead time and no extra time or added cost for finishing, Conestoga’s Allure DLV door offering affords significant savings of 30 to 50% – over similar finished wood doors.

In 2017, Conestoga propelled the growth of their DLV line with the introduction of the Shaker design and a brand new color palette. Now, here they go again, with the introduction of the new French Cut Shaker and Miter designs in their popular Bright White and White Dove colors. Both the Cabo 225 French Cut and the Tobago 225 Miter doors have a beveled framing bead similar in style to their popular wood F1223 profile.

The Rutland and Rutland PP are also available in our popular Paint Grade Hybrid offering, built with solid wood framing and a MDF center panel – the perfect canvas!

Introducing Yet Another Exceptional Alternative to Wood, and It’s Called Vogue

Conestoga’s Strata TTS, Allure DLV, and Synchronicity High Gloss programs have given designers and custom kitchen manufacturers some truly amazing alternatives to wood. While alternative materials are relatively new to the American market, the Europeans have been big on them for years.

Conestoga has led the way with alternatives to wood in America, and our rapidly growing alternative materials program brings Americans yet another new wood alternative product introduction – Vogue!

Vogue is similar in general appearance to the Strata program but with a less aggressive embossed texture and is offered at a more sensitive price point. The Vogue palette includes four distinctive, gorgeous colors and features an antibacterial surface, making it the perfect material for kitchens, baths, school environments, medical offices and more.

Vogue is available in Slab, 3-piece and 5-piece door and drawer front designs with complementary edgeband, laminate veneers, 4’ x 8’ sheet stock, cut-to-size panels, and more.

Conestoga Introduces New Strata and Vogue Alternative Materials Floating Shelf Program

The unique and engaging look of the floating shelf never seems to lose its appeal. And the rapidly increasing popularity and demand for Conestoga’s wood floating shelf program has proven that out. So, where to next? Answer: expand the floating shelf offering to include alternative materials – specifically the Vogue and Strata lines.

They offer a very appealing visual touch to both transitional and contemporary kitchen designs. At Conestoga, it’s in our nature to take a popular trend and explore ways to make it even more appealing…to give designers even more options to choose from. Moving these shelves into the alternative materials realm seemed only natural!”Conestoga has engineered an alternative materials floating shelf program offering the four new Vogue colors and 16 of the Strata board colors. They’re crafted of the same durable material as their Vogue and Strata doors and measure 2-3/4” thick, 10” wide, and are offered in 24”, 30”, 36”, 42”, 48”, and 60” lengths. Interior wood support frames are modeled after Conestoga’s standard floating shelf mounting brackets, so installation screws can be inserted wherever needed to secure the support frame to wall studs.

For Aesthetics and practical convenience, “X” Definitely marks the spot …twice

Well, the “X” is an idea Conestoga Wood has long been attached to…witness their popular rustic farmhouse Crossbuck door design. But this year’s proliferation of X styling has officially inspired Conestoga to amp up their X factor!

The X Side Overlay Panelfeatures 3” framing and cross members and a 6” bottom rail that exemplifies today’s popular farmhouse design. Exterior framing widths are completely customizable.

Conestoga is making it easy for you to give your next kitchen design a real lift

Lift hardware, an approach to opening cabinets upward made popular in European kitchen design, is really catching on as a practically functional and visually engaging idea here in America. At Conestoga, ready to assemble wall and tall refrigerator cabinets are now available with preconfigured Blum AVENTOS HK-XS Lift Hardware included.

AVENTOS HK-XS lift hardware provides “open-upward” door operation that lends a distinctively European charm to kitchen design. These lift doors are easy to install, utilize conventional hinges, and are economically priced.

Ready to assemble, Conestoga provides the appropriate hardware and either one- or two-lift mechanisms based on the size and weight of the doors specified. Plus, doors for these cabinets include concealed hinge boring on the top rails

Introducing Over Half a Dozen Exciting New Range Hood Designs

Conestoga Wood offered over 30 range hood designs that create the perfect focal point for most any kitchen style – from traditional to transitional to modern. Now, with 7 new hood offerings, their collection has grown to nearly 40 different hood designs…and shows no signs of stopping there!

Conestoga has also added two new tapered Stanisci models, both with a 6” matching specie hardwood apron. The new CHW style leans to transitional styling, while the similarly shaped CHWB has a more modern feel with its horizontal beading.

The new Omega National Farmhouse with Chimney hoods feature a detachable chimney and vertical mouldings for easy removal to accommodate any necessary height adjustments. Both designs integrate beautifully with either contemporary or transitional kitchen styling.

Conestoga has taken their already successful line of Le Marcin Range Hoods and added three new models, in styles that complement Traditional, Transitional, and Shaker cabinetry designs…available in Cherry, Hard Maple, and Paint Grade Hard Maple with MDF center panels.

Four New Post Designs

While decorative elements are still an essential part of kitchen design, many designers have opted to utilize more simplistic or understated architectural accents. With the overwhelming response to the introduction of our new legs and corbels last spring, we are expanding our decorative accents to include another series of square post designs. These new Mission posts are available in plain, full rout, partial rout and chamfered corner. Cherry, Hard Maple, Red Oak and Paint Grade can be specified for whole, half and 3/4 notched posts. These posts are in style, functional and timeless, fitting well into both traditional and contemporary settings. See the Mission posts on 12.10A in your Custom Products Manual.

Weathered Grain Option

Our newest option, weathered grain, creates a highly textured and rustic appearance on Conestoga’s slab and 5-piece doors and drawer fronts. The texturing process removes softer areas of wood within the growth rings, producing a look that resembles old weathered barn wood without the compromising cracks, voids and splits. The Weathered Grain option is available on several species including Alder, Cherry, Hickory, Pine and MDF, but looks most authentic on Red and White Oak, especially Quarter Sawn or Rift Oak.

Primer Colors Expanded

When painting cabinetry, a coat of primer is necessary to ensure flaws in the substrate are masked and the accurate, consistent color is achieved on the cabinet’s surface. A layer of good quality primer also assists in the curing cycle and can eliminate the need for additional coats of paint to fill porous areas within the wood. For darker finishes we’ve found that tinting our white primer, using a Prism Paint or Colourtone, can avoid inconsistent finishes. We are now making these tinted primers available to specify on your primed products and to purchase from our Duraguard loose finishes program. Light grey, medium grey and dark grey now augment our current white primer.
